TFA's approach: a careful process for a lasting match

The modus operandi of TFA

At The Family Assistant, we understand how personal it is to allow someone into your family life. After all, a Nanny or Family Assistant is close to the daily routines, emotions and dynamics of a family. This is precisely why we think it is essential that there is not only the right experience and training but also a warm click between both parties. To ensure this, we take the entire selection and screening process out of parents' hands professionally and carefully.

A clear and personal beginning
Our cooperation always starts with an initial telephone introduction. Here we discuss the situation and needs of the family and explain our working method. In case of mutual interest, we send by email our general information, conditions and next steps. Then we schedule an intake interview, which takes place at a convenient time for you. During this meeting, we delve deeper into your wishes, family dynamics and parenting style. In this way we can assess which profile fits best.

The right match: selection, interviews and walk-throughs
After the official search, we get to work immediately. Within one to three months, parents receive a selection of carefully screened candidates, including resume, short description, salary indication and start date. TFA schedules and evaluates the interviews with the family. Is there a click? Then a trial run follows, so that both parties can experience how the cooperation feels in practice. Only when this is satisfactory, the program is continued.

Collaboration, guidance and evaluation
After a match, if desired, we assist in drafting the employment contract. Once both parties have signed, we send the mediation invoice. But also afterwards we stay involved. One week after the start we contact you for a first check-in. In addition, we schedule fixed evaluation moments after 3 weeks, 6 months and 10 months. In between, we are always available for advice or support. This way of working ensures that families can rely on a sustainable, qualitative and appropriate cooperation.
